About the plant :

It comes from the Greek helios meaning «sun» and chrysos «gold». The Italian Helichrysum is also called Immortal because once its flowers are cut, they are preserved for a very long time. Known since the Greco-Roman era, in Greek mythology, Ulysses meets Nausica, a very beautiful woman who owes her beauty to the oil of Immortal. It takes between 700kg and 1 ton for 1 Liter of essential oil, which is why it is expensive.
