About the plant :

This tree of the Spruce family is the symbol of the boreal forest, its great resistance allows it to live in the harsh climates of the Arctic. Black spruce essential oil is produced by distillation of harvested needles. The essential oil consists mainly of the following compounds bornyl acetate, alpha-pinenes, camphene, beta-pinenes. It takes about 1 kg of needles to obtain 10 ml of essential oil.
