About the plant :

Known since ancient Egypt, traces of Mint have been found in the pyramids. It was used as a condiment during the Greco-Roman era and is linked to the nymph Minthê who was transformed into Mint and trampled by the mother of Persephone, in Greek mythology. It was in the 18th century that it began to be successful in treating colds, airways...

Spearmint has similar properties to Peppermint. It is a little less concentrated but it has a softer, more subtle fragrance. It is the one found in syrups, gums, tea....
