About the plant :

The Marine Pinetree is a coniferous species of the pinnaceous family. The buds of this pine and the essential oil from its needles are sometimes used for the preparation of syrups, infusions and cough tablets. In France, tar extracted from pine trees was a strategic material in the 17th and 18th centuries, when the navy took off. From Marine Pinetree, the pure resin turpentine is also extracted.
